Last week, a Reader called us to raise the issue of the green space on Asnyka Street, opposite the post office, where—according to the person reporting it—all the vegetation had been destroyed.
In the Reader’s view, the policy of the Bolesławiec City Municipality concerning the removal of vegetation is leading to the “desertification” of Bolesławiec.
As istotne.pl was told by Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall, the vegetation in the green space in question was not destroyed; new plantings were carried out instead.
The spokesperson also recalled that recently municipal services planted around 100,000 plants in the town’s green areas alone.
