“Armageddon”—that is how one of our readers described the situation around Leśny Potok on Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec. On hot days, cars are left wherever possible: on the grass, on curbs, and along provincial road 297...
If an emergency were to occur, emergency services would not be able to reach the facility. Cars are parked in such a way that a passenger car can barely get through the access road to the facility. It often happens that drivers, unable to find a free space and unable to turn around, have to reverse. At that point, more drivers enter the road and it becomes blocked.
It has even reached the point where a person directing traffic has to be present at the exit from DW 297 and on the access road. Despite the admission price increase and the launch of a stop with free public transport, the problem of cars being parked everywhere has not disappeared. We appeal to the residents of Bolesławiec to use free public transport. An additional parking lot is unlikely to be built near Leśny Potok.
At the same time, we inform you that the swimming pools on Spacerowa Street are scheduled to open on July 1.
The photographs accompanying this report were taken on Wednesday (June 26), after 6 p.m. Some drivers had already left, so there was more space than usual.
