Bolesławiec criminal investigators detained a man who helped steal a van. The crime was committed on June 14 this year in Germany.
Three days later, as a result of operational activities, police determined that the man traveling in the aforementioned vehicle was in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality.
The 24-year-old resident of Jawor County was detained. Moreover, it came to light that the suspect had participated in a burglary by transporting the stolen car. (Officers recovered the van, which was worth over PLN 85,000.)
In addition, the 24-year-old will be held responsible for violating a court-imposed driving ban, which, by a decision of the District Court in Złotoryja, remains in force until 2021.
Furthermore, police proved that the resident of Jawor County had committed another offense involving the burglary of a vehicle. The man committed this act in May this year, also in Germany.
The detained man could now face up to 10 years in prison.
