The incident occurred shortly after midnight on the night of June 11–12 in Łaziska (Bolesławiec municipality). The driver of an Opel Corsa, a 19-year-old resident of our county, failed to stop for a traffic check. The officers began a chase.
The young man was detained. It turned out that he had fled because he was under the influence of alcohol. (He had a blood alcohol level of 0.43 per mille.)
The teenager may now face up to five years in prison.
