On 8 June in Zgorzelec, during the Jan Krzyżak and Michał Korda Memorial, Bolesłavia athlete, Gracjan Kozak achieved the Polish Athletics Association qualifying standard for the European U20 Athletics Championships. (The Polish standard in the discus throw is 56.50 m, while the European standard is 54.00 m).
However, to fully qualify for the event, the athlete coached by Tomasz Markowski must meet one more condition: finish first or second at the Polish Championships, which will be held from 3 to 5 July in Racibórz.
The team selection will be announced on 12 July.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for our discus thrower.
