On Sunday (June 2), about 200 cyclists gathered at the starting line of the Cycling Tour with Bolesławiec County. The family peloton, accompanied by police officers escorting it, set off from the county office headquarters at 12 Armii Krajowej Street at 9:30 a.m.

The cyclists rode through the streets of Bolesławiec toward the village of Dobra, where the destination of the ride was Ranczo Piotrowski. The route was 20 km long and ran along Teatralna, Sądowa, Grunwaldzka, Tamka, Wesoła, Zgorzelecka, Generała Nila and Widok streets, as well as field and forest roads.

For the first time, guests from the Czech Republic, from the area around the town of Turnov, took part in the running and cycling tour with Bolesławiec County. They were members of the sports club Tělovýchovná jednota Turnov, z.s. Around 30 Czech athletes supported the county’s runners and cyclists as part of the cross-border project “Ahoj-Cześć – let’s meet in Bolesławiec County,” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget as part of the Euroregion Nysa Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020 Microprojects Fund.
