On Saturday, June 1, as part of the 8th RUNdka z Powiatem Bolesławieckim, around 100 people ran in a relay along the county’s roads. The competitors set off at 9:00 a.m. from the county office headquarters at 12 Armii Krajowej Street.

The entire route was 68 km long. It was divided into stages running from Armii Krajowej Street (start), through the Market Square, Asnyka, Spółdzielcza, Piastów, Kruszyn, Łaziska, Wartowice, Warta Bolesławiecka, Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, Kraśnik Górny, Kraśnik Dolny, Dąbrowa, Krępnica, Osieczów, Kierżno, Parzyce, Nowogrodziec, Ocice, Kraszowice, Otok and Rakowice, before entering Bolesławiec via Gdańska Street to Plac Piastowski, Orla, through Górne Młyny, Zgorzelecka, Prusa, to the Market Square and the finish at Armii Krajowej.

The runners reached the finish line, in front of the county office headquarters, at around 4:00 p.m. All participants received commemorative medals.

For the first time, guests from the Czech Republic, from around the city of Turnov, took part in the running and cycling RUNdka z Powiatem Bolesławieckim. They were members of the sports club Tělovýchovná jednota Turnov, z.s. Around 30 Czech athletes supported the county’s runners and cyclists as part of the cross-border project “Ahoj-Cześć – let’s meet in Bolesławiec County,” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget as part of the Euroregion Nysa Microprojects Fund, Interreg V-A Czech Republic–Poland 2014–2020.
