District police officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, who were securing a football match, saw near the stadium a vehicle belonging to a man suspected of committing burglary. A 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality was sitting inside. He was arrested.
In the car driven by the 34-year-old, police officers found items originating from the break-in at the camper.
The crime in question took place the previous day in a parking lot at one of the supermarkets in Bolesławiec. The perpetrator took advantage of the moment when the victim went shopping and stole, among other things, a camping stove, an inflatable paddleboard and an extension cord from the camper.
It turned out that the man had 5 other crimes on his record, including shoplifting and violating a court-imposed driving ban.
The 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality could now face up to 10 years in prison.
