Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec detained a 31-year-old man. The resident of Bolesławiec was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant by the German justice system. The reason? Property crimes: burglaries and thefts. (The European Arrest Warrant for the 31-year-old was issued by the Görlitz Prosecutor’s Office in April.)
The man was detained and taken into police custody. On Tuesday, 7 May, at the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, the court ordered the suspect to be held in temporary detention.
The detainee is well known to the local police. In 2018, officers from Bolesławiec proved that the 31-year-old had committed a series of property crimes.
The Bolesławiec resident now faces up to 10 years in prison.
