A reader contacted us. She wrote to us via Facebook that five years ago, the residents of Ławszowa (Osiecznica municipality) agreed to provide kayakers with access through their property. The kayakers, in turn, “not only travel day and night, but—excuse the expression—have shat all around us, leaving a terrible mess, and nobody takes care of it.”
The reader added:
I wrote to the municipality about setting up a sanitary facility, but unfortunately nobody replied to our email. It is shameful that we are supposedly such an eco-friendly municipality, yet nobody takes care of the river’s flora.
Following our intervention, the head of Osiecznica Municipality, Waldemar Nalazek, decided that a sanitary facility (that is, a so-called portable toilet) would be installed at the aforementioned location this week.
The mayor added that he cannot allow the residents of the Municipality to suffer because of kayakers.
