From 8 September 2026, training activities involving live ammunition have been conducted at the Żagań Land Forces Training Area. In connection with this, the Mayor of Osiecznica Municipality issued an appeal to residents and all people staying in the vicinity of the training areas.
According to the statement, firing will be conducted both during the day and at night. The training is scheduled to continue until 31 December 2026.
“From 8 September 2026 to 31 December 2026, day and night live-fire exercises will be conducted at the Żagań Land Forces Training Area,” reads the appeal issued by the municipal authorities.
In connection with the training activities, residents and people staying near the training areas should exercise extreme caution. It is particularly important to comply with the ban on entering the training area. (“(...) I remind you that people without the appropriate authorization are strictly prohibited from entering the training area,” emphasizes the Mayor of Osiecznica Municipality).
The appeal notes that disregarding the applicable rules may have serious consequences:
