In mid-April, officers from the Police Commissariat in Pieńsk received a report of a break-in at a garage on one of the properties in the town. The perpetrators stole two motorcycles and a leather jacket.
The officers recovered one of the stolen motorcycles, worth PLN 24,000, as well as the jacket, valued at PLN 500. Two residents of Zgorzelec County, suspected of the aforementioned break-in, were also apprehended by the police.
The men have already been charged. They could now face up to 10 years in prison.
Actions aimed at recovering the second motorcycle and arresting the third thief are ongoing.
