On April 23, officers from the Traffic Division of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec are conducting a “Vulnerable Road Users” operation. Why? Concern for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.
This is another operation of this kind this year. Officers will pay particular attention to drivers’ behavior toward pedestrians, especially around marked pedestrian crossings, and will also examine pedestrians’ own behavior.
Checks will cover places that are particularly dangerous, such as crossings over busy roads or crossings where pedestrians have been struck.

At the same time, educational initiatives are being conducted, during which police officers provide road users with information about dangers faced by pedestrians on the road and the need to know and comply with legal regulations.
