City Hall:
The system consists of 30 bicycles with 3-speed gears distributed across 6 BROM-ROOVEE PARK zones and combines the freedom of use associated with 4th-generation city bicycles (bicycles with an onboard computer and GPS) with the order provided by the 3rd generation, widespread in Poland (offline bicycles).
The zones are located at: the City Hall, the thermal baths, Leśny Potok, the swimming pools on Spacerowa Street, the Orlik sports field on Jarzębinowa Street, and Tysiąclecia Avenue.
BROM uses advanced Roovee electronics and software, while all communication with the bicycle is based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology, thanks to Orange Polska’s infrastructure.
City Hall officials:
Access to the system can be provided through a dedicated mobile application available for Android and iOS phones, as well as via telecode and SMS (for owners of ordinary phones). As a result, BROM ensures broad accessibility without excluding members of society who do not have smartphones.
With BROM, users receive 15 free minutes; after that, they pay 5 groszy for each additional minute. The initial fee may be used entirely for rides or refunded by the user at any time.
The city adds:
The system also features an innovative solution that rewards users for returning bicycles to BROM-ROOVEE PARK zones. This allows us to keep things orderly together, while users “earn” additional paid rides.
Have you already used the city bicycle? Do you intend to use it? We invite you to join the discussion.
