The incident took place on Friday, April 12, in Nowogrodziec. Parents – led by Laura Szkutnik, chairwoman of the local kindergarten council Laura Szkutnik – supported the striking teachers. Several dozen people took part in the action.
Earlier, Laura Szkutnik, a co-organizer of the initiative, published the following appeal on her Facebook profile:
DEAR PARENT!
Do not remain indifferent to the strike. We need the striking teachers every day. Now they need us! Let’s make some noise for them!!!
Have you ever wondered how much time your children spend under the care of an educational institution? Depending on their age – roughly half the day; it is the school that raises our children.
Whether we want it or not, the school raises our children. When someone spends so much time with us, that person has a direct influence on us – on our development, behavior, values, ideas instilled in us, and knowledge.
