Two institutions—the Powiatowa Szkoła Podstawowa Specjalna w Bolesławcu at the Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych w Bolesławcu and the Powiatowa Szkoła Specjalna w Iwinach at the Zespół Resocjalizacyjny—have a chance to receive funding to equip their kitchens and cafeterias; new ones will also be established. This follows the decision of the District Board to join the government program “A Meal at School and at Home”.

PLN 200,000 is to go to the schools. The existing school cafeterias will be further equipped.

Both institutions will have their own modern and aesthetically pleasing kitchens and dining rooms. The program provides for adapting rooms and equipping them with kitchen appliances, tables, chairs, and other items.

At the building on Bankowa Street in Bolesławiec, where students of the special school will begin their education in September, the kitchen and dining room are already almost ready.

The funding from the “A Meal at School and at Home” program will be used to purchase additional equipment. (This will make it possible to resign from catering services. Instead, meals will be prepared and served on site).

District:

It should be remembered that at both schools, as part of practical classes preparing students for independent living, the students learn culinary skills and how to operate kitchen equipment.
