Police officers from the prevention department of the Bolesławiec police headquarters attempted to stop a car with German registration plates. However, the driver did not stop and accelerated sharply. Immediate cooperation with other patrols resulted in traffic police officers finding the searched-for vehicle.

It quickly became clear why the driver had fled from the police. The car found in the forest had been stolen in Germany several hours earlier. The recovered vehicle is worth nearly a quarter of a million zlotys. Further actions led to the driver’s arrest; he turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. He was taken to police custody.

The arrested man will now answer for burglary and failing to stop for a traffic check; he faces up to 10 years in prison.
