As part of the project, carried out in cooperation with the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, three centres promoting historic crafts are planned in the partner cities. The centres will be associated with historic buildings where renovation and adaptation works will be carried out.

In addition to these activities, four permanent exhibitions and seven themed temporary exhibitions are planned, along with the purchase of appropriate equipment. The project also includes activities promoting the “Via Fabrilis” tourist route through a variety of workshops and demonstrations at different locations along the new approximately 250-kilometre section of the route. Promotional and information activities are also planned for 38 institutions associated with historic crafts: 22 on the Polish side and 16 on the Czech side.

In Bolesławiec, in cooperation with the Museum of Ceramics, the pottery workshop at 1b Widok Street, a historic technological monument, will be modernised and adapted to serve as the Centre for Historic Pottery Techniques. The building has been unused or only partially used for the past 25 years. The planned conservation and construction works aim to highlight the value of the preserved pottery kiln as a historic technological monument, improve its technical condition and create space for workshops on historic pottery techniques and exhibition projects.

The total value of the “Centres of Historic Crafts on the Via Fabrilis Route” project is €3,402,287.89. The main activities consist of launching the Centre for Historic Pottery Techniques in Bolesławiec, the Centre for Paper Decoration in Jaroměř, and the Centre for Historic Glassmaking in Kłodzko; organising workshops and demonstrations promoting historic crafts; and staging exhibitions promoting historic crafts.

The value of the Bolesławiec component of the project is €1,424,987.89 (PLN 5,744,000), including external funding of PLN 4,786,084 (83%) and an own contribution of PLN 957,916 (17%). The project is scheduled to run from April 2019 until the end of December 2021.
