To mark Writers’ Day, Primary School No. 5 welcomed the well-known Bolesławiec writer and journalist, foreign-tour guide and art historian, Grażyna Hanaf. The third-graders had the opportunity to meet the writer’s faithful friend, the puppet Krówka, who wonderfully stimulated the children’s imagination. The children spoke with her about their greatest dreams and learned how books are written.

During the meeting, the author presented two of her fairy tales: Garbuska and Zaginionych rodziców, a detective story for children. The works aroused great interest among the listeners.

A major attraction for the young readers was a pair of magical boots that could make one wish come true. All one had to do was stand on them and secretly think of a wish. Every student made a wish.

At the end of the meeting, the students could purchase books signed by the author. We hope that Mrs. Grażyna Hanaf will soon return to her friendly Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec.
