He damaged a car, drove away, and then received a PLN 500 fine

On Tuesday, February 19, a female reader wrote to us:

On February 18, 2019, at around 6:05 a.m., on road No. 94 toward the A4 motorway, approximately 1.5 km from Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, a truck crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Kia Cee'd passenger car traveling toward Wilczy Las. Unfortunately, the passenger car had to be towed away, while the truck driver fled. The collision was reported to the police. If any of you saw, on the route to Bolesławiec or in the surrounding area, a tarpaulin-covered truck with damage to the bodywork on the driver's side, please contact the police in Bolesławiec.

Shortly after this information was published, the perpetrator was found. It turned out that the truck from Monday's collision was parked in Warta Bolesławiecka. The perpetrator was fined PLN 500.
