During the ceremony, awards from the PCK Main Board and Regional Board were presented. For long-standing and active cooperation with the Polish Red Cross and promoting humanitarian ideals, the Main Board of the Polish Red Cross awarded the Honorary Badge, third class, to Barbara Kostyra, Adam Zieliński and the Honorary Blood Donors’ Club at Military Unit 11 45 in Bolesławiec.
Honorary badges, fourth class, were received by Ewa Hryciów, Jan Cołokidzi, Ryszard Wasyluk and Czesław Meklesa.
Certificates of recognition from county head Krzysztof Konopka were received by Barbara Kostyra, Adam Fornal, Danuta Zielińska, Mirosława Bednarowicz, Andrzej Kosterenko, Anna Guzik and Dariusz Pawliszczy.
Instead of flowers, all those honored received angel figurines symbolizing the goodness and heart they put into their work.
The two youngest volunteers—Monika Małolepsza and Tomek Sokołowski—received cash awards funded by the chair of the county council.
The Regional Board of the Polish Red Cross in Bolesławiec presented for the first time the “Friend of the Polish Red Cross” statuettes, created by young artist Łukasz Mierzwa at the BOK sculpture and drawing studio run by Czesław Matyjewicz. The statuettes were awarded to Bishop Stefan Regmunt, the Bolesławiec County Office, the District Court in Bolesławiec, Piotr Roman, Stanisław Kozłowski and Andrzej Kosterenko.
The ceremony was enhanced by a performance from young vocalists of the MDK Vocal Studio, run by Marek Łętowski.
