On the Kraśnik Górny–Kraśnik Dolny road, they apparently forgot to finish patching the surface: they cut out the asphalt, lightly filled it in, and that was all on their part. They ran out of asphalt before filling one of the holes, and it is only a matter of time before this leads to an accident or damage to cars. Vehicles are driving in a slalom.
We contacted ZDP, which informed us that the road is managed by Bolesławiec municipality.
Romuald Ochyra, head of the Investments and Infrastructure Department at the Bolesławiec Municipal Office, explained to istotne.pl that “the subject of the contract for the task entitled ‘Partial road repairs in Bolesławiec municipality’ had previously been completed in full, in accordance with the work-selection report dated 17 April 2018.”
The official emphasized:
On the indicated section of the road, the Contractor performed work beyond the scope planned above. Work on the indicated road began in the second half of November 2018. At that time, the weather conditions still made it possible to undertake the work, with a high degree of certainty that it could be completed.
The Contractor began by cutting out the asphalt around the damaged surface. Unfortunately, the deterioration in the weather made it impossible to fill the areas prepared in this way with asphalt mix. Consequently, these “areas” were temporarily secured by filling them with crushed stone.
He added:
The current problem is obtaining asphalt mix—at present, asphalt plants are not producing it (for economic reasons: demand for the mix is too low during the winter period).
As soon as both weather conditions and access to asphalt mix permit, the work related to completing the repairs will be carried out without delay.
