The incident occurred on Thursday, February 7, after 10:00 a.m., in Trzebień (Bolesławiec municipality). Three vehicles collided: two vans and a Mazda passenger car.

According to our findings, the woman driving the Mazda stopped before the pedestrian crossing and waited for the traffic lights to change. A Renault van driver stopped behind her. Moments later, another van—a Fiat Ducato—arrived. The driver of this third vehicle failed to stop in time and hit the Renault, which in turn hit the passenger car.

Both van drivers were injured. The person responsible, a 35-year-old from Nowosolski County, was taken to hospital; the Renault driver refused medical assistance. The woman escaped the entire incident unharmed.

All three people were sober. It is not yet known how serious the Fiat driver's injuries are.

Firefighters, police officers and two ambulances were at the scene.
