The agreement was signed by Stowarzyszenie Wolna Przedsiębiorczość – Centrum Technologii Energetycznych and eight municipalities: the Municipality of Bolesławiec, Bolesławiec Municipality, Gromadka Municipality, Lwówek Śląski Municipality and City, Pieńsk Municipality, Siekierczyn Municipality, Sulików Municipality, and the Municipality of Zawidów. Stowarzyszenie Wolna Przedsiębiorczość – Centrum Technologii Energetycznych serves as the project leader.
The agreement concerns a partnership to implement the project “Coalition to Improve Air Quality in the Municipalities of the Western Intervention Area (ZOI),” which will be co-financed from the RPO WD 2014–2020 funds under Priority Axis 3, “Low-Emission Economy,” Measure 3.3, “Energy Efficiency in Public Utility Buildings and the Residential Sector,” Sub-measure 3.3.1 concerning OSI ZOI, Scheme 3.3.E, “Modernization of Heating Systems and Renewable Energy Sources – Projects Concerning the Reduction of Chimney Emissions – Grant Projects.”
The partnership agreement also concerns, among other things, a joint application to the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for funding for a project whose aim is to enable residents of the partner municipalities to obtain grants for installing heating systems that generate heat for household needs in single-family buildings and reduce low chimney emissions.
