On February 4, Bolesławiec traffic police officers conducted a Sober Morning campaign in our county.

The officers checked more than 200 drivers. Two people were driving under the influence of alcohol.

The first to be stopped by the traffic police was a 27-year-old resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality, who had 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.

Moreover, it came to light that by getting behind the wheel while drunk, the man had committed two offences, as his driving licence had also been revoked.

The second drunk driver turned out to be a 37-year-old Ukrainian citizen who, while driving to work, had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.

Both suspects could now face up to two years in prison.
