The incident occurred on Monday, February 4, after 2:00 p.m., in a residential building on Zabobrze Street in Bolesławiec. A gas cylinder exploded in one of the houses.

Four people suffered burns. One was taken to hospital, while the other three were treated at the scene.

Unofficially, we learned that the explosion occurred while an attempt was being made to replace the cylinder. The cylinder exploded and caught fire. It was then carried outside by the residents. The firefighters who arrived at the scene extinguished the burning cylinder. The explosion damaged the walls and ceilings. The building is unfit for habitation.

Four fire service units, a police patrol and two ambulances were at the scene. A building supervision representative, as well as police and a prosecutor, are currently there.
