On 25 January, at 8:30 p.m., the duty officer at the Zgorzelec County Police Headquarters received information about a road accident that had occurred on national road 94, at the exit from the motorway.
Officers from the traffic and prevention divisions were immediately dispatched there.
Police:
Traffic police and officers from the investigative division worked at the scene, including a forensic technician who, among other things, secured evidence from the incident.
It was established that a 19-year-old resident of Tarnobrzeg County, driving a Renault Master, failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Dacia Duster, a 62-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County.
The Dacia passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The young driver's licence was confiscated. Moreover, he will face court for causing the accident.
The officers appeal to all road users to observe safety rules and comply with traffic regulations.
