With the beginning of the new year, the Lower Silesian police garrison welcomed new officers into its ranks. On January 11, 2019, 82 police officers, including 15 women, recited the oath of office. (Four of them will serve at the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters.)

This year, 182 officers have already joined the Lower Silesian police force.

Who can serve in the police?

  • a Polish citizen of impeccable reputation
  • who has not been convicted by a final court judgment of a criminal offense or a tax offense
  • enjoying full public rights
  • with at least a secondary education
  • physically and mentally capable of serving in armed formations subject to special service discipline, which they are prepared to follow
  • providing assurance that they will maintain confidentiality in accordance with the requirements set out in regulations on the protection of classified information
  • in addition, persons subject to military qualification should have their status regarding military service regulated.
