In accordance with the idea behind the Procession, this year we have divided Bolesławiec into three lands, or three continents, represented by the Three Kings: Kacper, Melchior and Baltazar. The starry processions will set out from Bolesławiec churches (list below). The finale will take place in Bolesławiec’s Market Square at around 2:00 p.m., where everyone will join together in one great Procession, which will reach the Bethlehem stable so that the Wise Men from the East and each of us can bow before the Holy Family of Nazareth. The stage programme includes a nativity play, communal carol singing and the presentation of prizes to the winners of the procession competitions.
We encourage you to dress up as characters appearing in traditional nativity plays: Mary, Joseph, a king, a shepherd, a star boy, a turon, Death, an angel, a devil, Herod or a knight. If possible, costumes should be in the group’s colour. Crowns, songbooks, balloons, procession flags, stickers and other gadgets and souvenirs will be distributed in front of the churches. A hot (free) meal will also be prepared for everyone.
