District police officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters stopped a vehicle for inspection on one of the city’s streets. It was being driven by a 24-year-old man.

It turned out that by getting behind the wheel, the driver had committed a crime, as he was subject to two court-imposed driving bans. (Under the law, he was not allowed to drive a car until July 2019).

After carrying out the official procedures, the officers released the suspect.

However, he did not seem particularly concerned, because... he got behind the wheel again and, several hours later, was stopped once more by a police patrol.

The 24-year-old Bolesławiec resident could now face up to five years in prison.
