The Court and Commercial Gazette of 17 December 2018 published an announcement about the bankruptcy of Energetyczne Centrum. “At one time, it was one of the largest so-called independent sellers of electricity to end customers,” the energetyka.wnp.pl website recalls.

As Waldemar Sawicki, the district consumer ombudsman, informed us, Waldemar Sawicki, many consumers in our county entered into agreements with Energetyczne Centrum S.A. for the supply of energy and gas. “Its customers do not know how to recover overpayments for energy supplies,” he added.

How can you recover your money?

The information from the President of URE concerning the procedure for filing claims states:

Customers of Energetyczne Centrum S.A. who, by the day preceding the announcement of the company’s bankruptcy, i.e. 2 December 2018, had paid the company any amounts due for the sale of electricity or gas fuel for a period during which the company did not provide such services may pursue claims on this account against the company under the procedure provided for by the Bankruptcy Law, namely by filing a claim with the bankruptcy judge.
