Readers are asking when the ice rink will open. In an email to the editorial office, a female Reader wrote:
Please address the issue of the ice rink. Seeing that after the elections nobody is interested anymore in whether it will be there or not, I called MOSiR today and spoke with the director. He said it would open if the weather allowed it.
She added:
The weather is good enough, but it is clear that the management is looking for problems where there are none; maybe it will open, maybe it will not. Nobody cares about it anymore! I asked whether I should understand that there was a strong possibility it would not open, and I was told YES!
So I ask: what are the kids supposed to do during the winter holidays?
We asked MOSiR about this. We were told that the centre's website contained a statement on the matter. It reads, among other things:
The Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Bolesławiec informs that the ice rink for the 2018/2019 season has been installed at the Water and Sports Centre at 24 Spacerowa Street.
This season, the ice rink will not be covered; therefore, it will open when suitable weather conditions occur [...].
MOSiR announces that it will promptly inform the public about the opening of the ice rink on its website and Facebook profile.
