On Friday, December 14, celebrations of the Rocket and Artillery Forces Day (the “god of war”) were held at the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec.
During this time, visitors could tour the Bolesławiec military unit. The 100th Anniversary of Independence Run and a competition for uniformed-service classes were also organized. (Organizer: Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Commando Company “Commando”.)
A ceremony was held on the parade ground, providing an opportunity to express thanks and present soldiers with departmental decorations, promotions and distinctions.
There were speeches, a combat demonstration performed by soldiers from Bolesławiec and the US Army, as well as a parade.
The official part of the ceremony concluded with the laying of flowers beneath memorial plaques dedicated to artillerymen.
