In an email to the editorial office, the Reader wrote:

On behalf of myself and all the residents of Bolesławiec, please ask MZGK how we should sort our waste.

He added:

There is a sticker on the paper containers stating that we should put, for example, juice and milk cartons in these containers. However, on the website (https://www.mzgk.com.pl/segregacja), under the heading “how to sort what,” the image on the right shows that juice and milk cartons should be put in the container for metals and plastics.

Władysław Bakalarz, president of the Municipal Communal Services Management Company:

The information leaflet available on the Company’s and Bolesławiec City Hall’s websites contains the correct information: composite packaging should be put in yellow containers.

This legal status has been in force since January 2018. Before that date, the waste in question was put in the blue paper container.

He adds:

MZGK is systematically changing the container markings, and the campaign will be completed in spring. Waste put into the paper, plastic and glass containers is sent to the sorting line at ZUOK in Trzebień, where it undergoes further thorough sorting, as this waste is very often contaminated with other waste when placed in the containers.
