The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 11, in the village of Wykroty (Nowogrodziec gmina). Officers received a report that an elderly woman was not opening the door, even though the lights were on in the house.
In the presence of the person who reported the incident, firefighters pushed out a windowpane and entered the building. There, they found the body of a 79-year-old woman, who had died of natural causes. (The involvement of third parties was ruled out.)
This was not the only forced entry by emergency services into someone’s home that day.
The earlier incident occurred before 9:00 a.m. Officers received a report that someone had fainted in one of the apartments on Wańkowicza Street in Bolesławiec.
As the apartment was on the third floor, firefighters used a ladder. After breaking the window, they entered through the balcony.
As it turned out, no one was in the apartment. The police secured the premises.
The operation was connected with the disappearance of Bolesławiec resident Paweł Stanicki. There was a suspicion that the man had fainted at home. The search for the man is ongoing.
