The incident occurred on Sunday, November 25, at around 9:00 a.m., near the village of Czerna (Nowogrodziec gmina). The driver of a Mercedes, a 44-year-old resident of Lubań, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road and drove into a ditch.
As it turned out, the man was completely drunk; he had more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The drunk driver was detained. He could now face a sentence of up to two years in prison.
