The 21-year-old resident of Legnica was arrested last Tuesday outside his home. Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters—with substantial involvement from the Legnica District Prosecutor’s Office—charged the man with possessing and distributing a significant quantity of drugs.

The charges were preceded by painstaking work by Legnica police officers, which enabled them to gather extensive evidence. This was presented to the district prosecutor in Legnica, who firmly applied for the suspect’s temporary detention.

The District Court in Legnica granted the application and remanded the 21-year-old in custody for three months.

Among other things, Legnica police searched the apartment occupied by the young man and his car. During the search, they discovered and seized approximately 1,200 sale portions of marijuana (approx. HALF A KILOGRAM), several dozen grams of cocaine and ecstasy tablets, as well as cash.

The street value of the illegal substances exceeds PLN 30,000. The 21-year-old could face a sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
