The documents made public by Karol Stasik show that Jan Russ was supposed to become county head. The deputy county head was to come from Platforma Samorządowa. The remaining members of the executive board were to come from Law and Justice and Platforma Samorządowa.
A member of Platforma Samorządowa was supposed to become chair of the county council, while a member of Law and Justice was to become deputy chair.
Nothing came of the agreement because the Law and Justice headquarters did not agree to a coalition with Platforma Samorządowa and demanded a coalition with Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy instead. Jan Russ did not become county head; the following day, he left the party.
The county is currently governed by a coalition of Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy, part of Law and Justice, Ziemia Bolesławiecka and SLD.
