The council chairman became Ryszard Kawka from Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy. The first deputy chairwoman became Barbara Kuduk from Ziemia Bolesławiecka. The second deputy chairman became Marcin Stróżyński from PiS.
Nothing remains of the widely discussed coalition of Karol Stasik’s Platforma Samorządowa, PiS, Maciej Małkowski’s Impuls Miasta and unaffiliated councillor Tomasz Matyjewicz.
The new coalition will consist of 7 Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy councillors, 2 SLD councillors, 1 councillor from Ziemia Bolesławiecka and at least one, if not two, councillors from Prawo i Sprawiedliwość.
We learned unofficially that Jan Russ, the head of PiS in Bolesławiec, will be left with nothing. The same applies to Karol Stasik, the head of Platforma Samorządowa.
The likely starosta will be Tomasz Gabrysiak.
