Over the past weekend, two collisions occurred on the roads of Bolesławiec County. Both—by an unfortunate coincidence—were caused by drunk drivers who, to make matters worse, were under court bans on driving.
The first collision occurred on November 10 in Nowogrodziec. A 33-year-old resident of our county hit another car while attempting to pass an obstacle. The man had 2.7 per mille of alcohol in his breath.
A similar situation occurred on November 11 in Bolesławiec. A 58-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County was driving against traffic and collided with a car traveling correctly.
It emerged that the 58-year-old had got behind the wheel with 2.4 per mille of alcohol in his system.
Both suspects may now face up to five years in prison for violating a court ban.
