On August 22, in the early morning hours, an 18-year-old broke into and robbed one of the stores in Jelenia Góra using an axe. He wanted to steal cash. “Unfortunately,” it turned out at the scene that the cash boxes were empty. Desperate not to return empty-handed, the burglar stole 20 sachets of coffee worth PLN 20.
Based on the information gathered in the case and an analysis of surveillance-camera footage, police identified and detained the 18-year-old.
The boy confessed to the crime. He added that he had already drunk the stolen coffee.
The unlucky burglar now faces up to 10 years in prison.
