The incident occurred on the night of October 20–21 in Żeliszów (Bolesławiec municipality). The driver of a Volkswagen Passat, a 23-year-old resident of the City of Ceramics, lost control of the vehicle, veered onto the shoulder and hit a tree.
Fortunately, the driver did not suffer any serious injuries.
The man was drunk; he had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. He could now face up to two years behind bars.
