On 6 October, the Firefighters’ Scrap Collection took place. Volunteer firefighters from Trzebień (Bolesławiec municipality):

As last year, we asked residents of Golnice, Kozłów, Parkoszów, Stara Oleszna, Trzebień and Trzebień Mały to put out scrap or indicate a place on their property where scrap was lying.

Over the course of the day, the firefighters collected approximately 11,500 kg of various types of scrap, which enabled them to raise PLN 6,796.30. “These funds will be used to purchase essential rescue equipment, which in the future will significantly improve the safety of all residents of our county,” the firefighters announce.

They add:

We would like to sincerely thank the residents of the villages listed above for joining our campaign.

We would also like to extend special thanks to our former, long-serving Commander, and now Honorary Member of the Board of our unit, firefighter Aleksander Bitner, for preparing the collected scrap for sale. “Grandpa” Olek has been providing us with invaluable assistance for years, as always, and we know that we can always count on him.
