On 4 April, a pre-Easter meeting of left-wing supporters was held at the headquarters of the Bolesławiec Alliance of the Democratic Left. The meeting was opened by Stanisław Chwojnicki, chairman of the SLD District Council. The invited guest was Jerzy Szmajdziński, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm.
Jerzy Szmajdziński spoke, among other things, about the projects and plans of the Left parliamentary club, recent events in the Sejm, as well as the June elections to the European Parliament.
– On 7 June, we must actively participate in the elections, because only strong representation in the European Parliament guarantees that we can strengthen our position within the structures of the European Union – the Deputy Speaker stressed.
Stanisław Chwojnicki presented Jerzy Szmajdziński with gifts commemorating the 10th anniversary of Bolesławiec County.
– On the occasion of the approaching Easter holidays, I wish all the residents of Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County pleasant, warm days spent with their loved ones and, equally importantly, a spring smile throughout the year – Paweł Zieliński, SLD spokesperson, said in summary of the meeting.
At the end, all the participants shared a symbolic egg and exchanged holiday greetings.
