In the last week of September, a bicycle worth PLN 1,200 was stolen from the back room of a restaurant located in the center of Bolesławiec. Based on the collected evidence, officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec police headquarters identified the suspect. The 30-year-old perpetrator was arrested, and during further operations, officers recovered the bicycle belonging to the victim.
The man was also in possession of other bicycles whose origin he was unable to explain. Police are currently determining who the secured items belong to. The suspect was charged with theft; he has similar offenses on his record. Theft is punishable by up to five years in prison.
The owner has already collected the bicycle recovered by the police from the police headquarters.
