In recent days, several allotment-garden sheds in Bolesławiec were broken into, and various types of equipment were stolen, including power tools, gardening equipment and construction machinery.
KPP Bolesławiec:
Police suspected that the people connected with these crimes had not abandoned their activities and might continue them. Their suspicions proved entirely correct.
While officers were patrolling the allotment gardens, they noticed two people who, under cover of night, first damaged the fencing and then entered one of the sheds. It turned out that the suspects were storing stolen goods there that had come from break-ins at other sheds. (Interestingly, the room did not belong to them).
The burglars were arrested. They are a 23-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, residents of Bolesławiec County.
It turned out that the pair had several other offenses on their record, committed in recent weeks in Bolesławiec County, including the theft of a mobile phone, bicycles and car tires, as well as break-ins at apartments.
The investigation is ongoing. So far, the criminal duo has been charged with eight offenses. The suspects have pleaded guilty.
Both now face up to 10 years in prison. (The recovered property will be returned to its owners).
