The incident occurred on September 14, shortly after midnight. Police officers from the prevention division of the Lubin unit stopped the driver of an Opel passenger car for a traffic check.

After checking the police database, the officers determined that the man was banned from driving any motor vehicles, pursuant to a ruling by the District Court in Lubin. What is more, the 21-year-old was wanted—he had to serve a prison sentence for other offenses.

The 21-year-old was arrested. He was taken to police custody and then straight to prison.

For violating the court-imposed ban, he could now additionally face up to five years in prison.
