The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski received information that, in the owner’s absence, unknown perpetrators had most likely broken into a building located in Pławna Dolna. A police patrol was immediately sent to the scene.
There, the officers noticed unknown men who were inside the building. When they saw the officers, the men began to flee. Police caught two of them after a chase: a 34-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County and a 24-year-old from Lwówek County.
Both fugitives were detained and placed in police custody. (The losses caused by their criminal activity were initially estimated at more than PLN 20,000).
Crime investigators from Gryfów, meanwhile, determined where various stolen items had been hidden. Moreover, they arrested a third burglar, an 18-year-old resident of Lwówek County.
The recovered property was returned to its owner. The burglars could face up to 10 years in prison.
