The incident took place on Wednesday, September 5, at approximately 7:45 p.m., in Osiecznica. The 12-year-old resident of our county was standing on the sidewalk. According to the officers’ preliminary findings, at some point she stepped onto the road—directly in front of an approaching bicycle ridden by a 54-year-old man. (She probably did not notice that it was approaching.)
A collision occurred. The girl was injured. She was taken to a hospital in Legnica with a head injury. Fortunately, she did not suffer serious injuries.
The cyclist was riding properly; he was sober.
