Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski—following operational activities—shut down a drug production facility located on one of the properties near Lwówek. As soon as they entered the premises, the police officers noticed the characteristic smell of marijuana.

As it turned out, there was a complete production line in the basement. In total, the officers secured 1,680 cannabis plants at various stages of development.

What is more, the plants were fertilized with special chemical substances intended to support their cultivation and make the drugs produced have a stronger effect.

Moreover, machetes and a starter pistol were found in the apartment, while the electricity used to grow the cannabis had been stolen.

The police detained a 37-year-old man who will face charges in court for drug-related offenses and theft. He could face up to eight years in prison.

(The officers are currently investigating the circumstances of the case in detail, including who the drugs produced were intended for).
